Course Description:
ADVOCACY has been the central character of nursing practice. With factors and conditions affecting changes in nursing practice today, the demand on nurse ‘s knowledge of their roles is all the more required. Recognizing the bounds of practice make nurses more effective in identifying , designing and implementing desired and required practices. Prescription for strategic advocacies will be addressed communities and special client populations. Update on the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) Future of Nursing and its impact on the future of nursing practice will be presented. The participants will be challenged on how to become more effective advocates to-wards the end of the day.
